How to Play
Goal
Blocks made of four squares fall one at a time into a tall, narrow well. Guide each block into place so it fits neatly against the blocks below. The in-game instructions sum it up simply: fit the blocks together to make a row of blocks.
Controls
- Keyboard: Left and Right arrow keys move the falling block sideways, the Down arrow moves it down faster, and the Up arrow rotates it.
- On-screen buttons: A button bar under the well has the same actions (down, left, right and rotate), plus a pause button. You can click or tap these buttons instead of using the keyboard.
A faint outline at the bottom of the well shows where the current block will land, which makes it easier to line up each drop.
Score and screen layout
The bar at the bottom shows your score next to a trophy icon, a number next to a star, and a clock that counts how long the current game has lasted.
When the board fills up
If the stack gets close to the top, a "Board is filling!" message appears. It offers a reward ad video that removes the upper lines. You can decline and keep playing. Once the blocks reach the top, the game is over and a Game Over screen shows your total score and best score, with buttons to return to the menu or play again.
Tips
- Watch the landing outline. Line up each block with its outline before you speed it up with the Down key or button. It is the quickest way to avoid misplaced pieces.
- Rotate early. Rotate a block while it is still high in the well, so you have time to slide it into position afterwards.
- Keep the surface flat. A flat stack gives almost every block shape a good place to land. Deep, narrow gaps only accept a straight piece.
- Do not cover holes. A gap trapped under other blocks keeps that row from being completed and makes the stack grow faster.
- Use the pause button. If you need a break, pause instead of letting blocks fall on their own.
