How to Play Ramen Shop
Ramen Shop is a fast little cooking tycoon game: you run a ramen stand and try to make 10,000 won before time runs out. It is a web remake by blockblast.co of the Korean Flash classic "슈의 라면집" (Shu's Ramen Shop), rebuilt with the same rules and timings, so it plays free in your browser on PC or mobile with no Flash, no download and no sign-up.
One bowl goes like this:
- Drag the kettle onto an empty pot to pour water. You can also tap the kettle and then tap the pot.
- Add noodles and soup. These two have no timing at all, and you can even add them before the water.
- Wait for the water to boil, then drop in the onion and the egg.
- While it still looks perfect, drag the pot onto the tray. The customer eats and pays you.
- If you have 10,000 won or more when the clock runs out, you pass.
The clock on each pot starts the moment you pour the water, whether or not there is anything in it:
| Time since pouring | State | Pot rim | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 – 5.4s | Not boiling yet | Blue | Undercooked: 300 won, or 500 won with an egg |
| 5.4 – 8.8s | Perfect window | Gold | Up to 1,000 won |
| 8.8 – 10.8s | Too salty | Orange | 300 won, or 500 won with an egg |
| After 10.8s | Burnt | Black | 0 won, and the pot is ruined |
The perfect window is only 3.3 seconds wide, and that is the whole difficulty of the game. A bowl never pays more than 1,000 won, so the 10,000 is the target for the whole round. A bowl missing water, noodles or soup always pays 0 won, however well it was cooked.
You have four pots plus three spares, seven in all. A pot burns for exactly one reason: 10.8 seconds after the water went in. A burnt pot locks up, refuses every ingredient and never clears itself, so you have to drag it to the tray, and that is when a spare is used. Once the spares are gone, a burner you clear stays empty for the rest of the round.
Ramen Shop Controls
Drag an ingredient onto a pot, or tap the ingredient and then the pot; you can also pick a pot first and tap several ingredients in a row. Drag a finished pot onto the tray to serve it. On a phone the four pots sit in a 2×2 grid in portrait, and the game area never scrolls or zooms. The original was mouse only, so the keyboard below is an extra in this version.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 · 2 · 3 · 4 (or ← →) | Select a pot |
| Q | Water |
| W | Noodles |
| E | Soup |
| R | Onion |
| T | Egg |
| Space (or Enter) | Serve to the tray |
| Esc | Cancel or pause |
Tips
- Put the noodles and soup in first and pour the water after, so the 3.3 second window is free for the onion and the egg.
- Start your four pots about two seconds apart so their perfect windows never overlap.
- Onion and egg added before the boil still go in, they just do not count. This version greys them out, and adding the same ingredient again after the boil fixes it.
- Both of them added after the boil is 1,000 won; only one timed right is 800 won, either way round.
- When in doubt, serve early. An undercooked bowl still pays 300 – 500 won, while a burnt one pays nothing and costs you a pot.
- Clear burnt pots straight away. Letting them sit is the most common reason beginners run out of usable burners.
About the Original
The original is "슈의 라면집", a Flash game from iBravo.com, the Korean children's site run by Haitai, released around 2003. It even had a pot lid that did nothing at all. This page is an unofficial remake: only the rules and numbers were carried over, the art, sound and character are new, no original files are used, and it is not affiliated with the original creators.

Ramen Shop FAQ
Do I need Flash or a download to play Ramen Shop?
No. It runs right here on this page. This version was rebuilt with web standards so it still works now that Flash is gone, and you can play it free in any PC or phone browser with no install and no sign-up.
How long is a round, and how much do I need to earn?
A round lasts about 1 minute 33 seconds, and you pass with 10,000 won. Reaching 10,000 does not end the game, so you can keep selling until the clock runs out and push for a high score.
When should I add the onion and the egg?
After the water starts boiling. Added earlier they still go into the pot, but they do not count towards the price. This version greys them out, and adding the same ingredient again after the boil makes it count properly. There is no deadline once it boils. Noodles and soup have no timing at all and can even go in before the water.
When is a bowl worth the most?
The water boils about 5.4 seconds after you pour it, and the next 3.3 seconds are the perfect window. Serve in that window with both the onion and the egg added after the boil and you get 1,000 won, the most a single bowl can pay. If only one of the two was timed right, it is 800 won.
How many pots do I get?
Four on the stove plus three spares, seven in all. A spare is used only when you clear a burnt pot. Serving a bowl with a missing ingredient pays nothing but leaves the pot fine. Once the spares are gone, clearing another burnt pot leaves that burner empty for the rest of the round.
