What Is WorldGuessr?
WorldGuessr is a free geography game similar to GeoGuessr. You are dropped somewhere in the world in Street View, look around for clues such as languages, road signs and landscapes, and place a pin on the map where you think you are. The closer your pin is to the real location, the more points you score. There is no limit on how many rounds you can play.
This page lets you play WorldGuessr in your browser. blockblast.co is an unofficial fan site; WorldGuessr is available at worldguessr.com and is a separate game that is not affiliated with GeoGuessr.
How to Play
- Explore the location. Click the arrows on the ground to move, drag to look around and zoom in on details.
- Place your pin. Open the map, zoom to the area you think is right and drop a pin.
- Press Guess. You see the real location, the distance from your pin and your points for the round.
Each round is worth up to 5,000 points. A standard singleplayer game on the World map has 5 rounds, so the maximum total is 25,000 points. If you are stuck, the Hint button draws a circle on the map around the area of the location.
Game Modes
- Singleplayer: Play the World map, a country map or a community map, with or without a timer. You can also choose Moving, No moving or NMPZ (no moving, panning or zooming).
- Duels: 1v1 duels, ranked or unranked, and 2v2 team duels. The closer guess takes health from the other side.
- Party: A private lobby where you share a link and play the same rounds with friends.
- Daily Challenge: The same 3 locations for everyone each day, 60 seconds per round.
- Country Guesser and Continent Guesser: Choose the country or continent instead of placing a pin.
- Community maps: Play maps made by other players, or build your own with the in-game map maker.
Tips for Better Guesses
- Start broad: Decide on the continent first, then narrow it down to a country and a region.
- Read the signs: The language and script on signs and shops are often the fastest clues.
- Check the driving side: Whether cars drive on the left or right rules out many countries.
- Look at the landscape: Vegetation, climate and building styles help confirm your idea.
- Combine clues: Make sure several clues point to the same place before you guess.
